Our mission is to educate and enlighten our clients to the treasures and wonders of select "Third World" countries. Our tours focus on the historical and cultural aspects of a country, including the current social issues and economic challenges.

The company is named after co-founder, Nita Brown's grandmother, a woman who embodies the spirit of the intrepid traveler and thinker, although she never traveled further than Ivory Coast and Togo (neighboring countries to Ghana). Maame Koranchee believes that it is in traveling that one appreciates one's environment. Thus, our vision is Education via Exploration.

Maame Koranchee's LLC not only appreciates the beauty and gems of the places we visit, but also supports local communities. To this end, a portion of all profits will go towards supporting local charities. For example, in Ghana, Maame Koranchee funds 25% of the educational programs of the FST Sisters, a native mission working in rural Southern Ghanaian villages.
